Thoughts In The Hospital

Getting sick here in the Philippines is certainly no picnic, even if you're a doctor yourself. Good health care with adequate facilities also mean that you need to shell out money.

We're feeling the crunch right now, since the little girl got admitted last Friday evening. She's much better now. However, we are looking at a big hospital expense, not to mention lost income from my not being able to hold clinic. While we know that we won't be able to afford a vacation rental Hawaii, a local trip this summer would be something to look forward to. But now, I'm afraid we may not be able to aspire for even that.

Well, in the end, as long as the family is together, happy and healthy, I guess everything else is secondary. Hoping that we'll be able to go home soon!
